Paintsil sits out Leicester FA Cup loss to Chelsea

Defender John Paintsil was not involved in Leicester City’s 5-2 trouncing at the hands of Chelsea on in the English FA Cup on Sunday.

The Ghana international has struggled to break into the team since his move from Fulham at the end of last season.

The 30-year-old was once again dropped from the squad that made the shot trip to Stamford Bridge to tackle a resurgent Chelsea side.

A brace from Fernando Torres preceded by goals from Gary Cahill and and Salomin Kalou was capped off with a late effort by Raul Mereiles.

Jermain Beckford and Ben Marshall got the consolation goals for the visitors.

Ghanaian youngster Jefferey Schlupp and Michael Essien came on as second half substitutes for Leicester and Chelsea respectively.
