Victor Ahiakpor is determined to transform Heart of Lions

By Patrick Akoto

Heart of Lions owner Victor Ahiakpor has promised to bring success and ultimately the title to the club next season.

The Kpando-based struggled for form last season and managed to jump the relegation net by the skin of the teeth.

But the club is putting in place mechanisms to ensure that they challenge for titles in the upcoming season.

The technical department of the team has seen a massive overhaul with the appointment coach Sarfo Castro as the new man in charge after veteran trainer Ken August was relieved off  his post.

The former Asante Kotoko assistant trainer has been tasked with the responsibility of crafting a formidable team that will be able to fight for silverwares.

Ahiakpor, who doubles as a boxing promoter has promised to give his all to ensure they accomplish something meaningful.

“I have been out of the team for sometime and that I believe accounted for our poor showing last season,” Ahiakpor said

“But I am now back and will be involved in the day-to-day administration of the club this time around,”

“I believe this season will be a different one for Heart of Lions supporters. We’re going to recapture our old form and make the league very exciting,”

“We are making purchases on the quite and so when the league start, Ghanaians will see a new Lions side.”
