Osei Bonsu injury boost for Hearts ahead of Kotoko clash

Hearts coach David Duncan has received a vital injury boost ahead of Kotoko’s clash after defender Osei Bonsu returned to training.

The hard-tackling centre-back suffered a knock during Hearts’ 3-2 win over Real Tamale United November at the Accra sports stadium.

But he resumed training this week and could be in line for selection for Sunday’s titanic clash against their bitter rivals.

“I was told it could have been a lot worse, so thank God for that,” Bonsu told the club’s website

“I could have been in serious trouble but here I am going through light training works without any problems.

“Thankfully, their prompt action prevented serious and possible lasting damage.

“You can't assume you are going to play but I have always worked very hard to make sure the coach has got to play me. It is great for us now.

“ I am looking forward to getting back in the team and trying to forge an understanding with Nuru Sule.”

Bonsu has formed a strong partnership with Nuru Sule at the heart of defence.
