Orlando Pirates fans have expressed varied views about the future of Ghanaian goalkeeper Fatau Dauda at the club.

The Ghana first choice was signed to replace Moeneeb Josephs who left the club at the end of last season.

Dauda is yet to play his first competitive match for the ABSA Premiership side but the emergence of Senzo Meyiwa has delayed his debut.

Fans of the club have been sharing their thoughts on whether the former AshantiGold player will get his chance or rot on the bench like compatriots Emmanuel Baffour and Mumuni Abubakar at Sundowns last season.

One Pirates fans who identified himself as FernandoTorish99 wrote: "Hmmmm.....(thinking)....Senzo Meyiwa the Penalty stopper or Dauda the second best goalkeeper in Africa behind Itumeleng Khune, feedback from Ghana say he is an excellent goalkeeper as we all saw in the AFCON earlier this year.

I'm a pirates fan but i have to say that Senzo has alot of flops sometimes but give dauda a chance atleast play him in the cup games since he is not registered in the CAF Champions League. You cant just splash cash around signing world class players and dont give him a chance to prove himself thats not right."

ZA-Tunechi also posted: "Dauda I don't want to lie to you boss but I don't think you will play at pirates....Meyiwa is on form, tremendous form and if you think he'll drop form soon you wasting your time...I say go back to ashanti gold."

"Give this man a chance, he would have at least saved those SSU goals as he is a tall guy who would easily command the 18 area. He can't be Black Stars number 1 for nothing. He has played internationally with tough opposition. Give him a chance to prove himself. Stop being xenophobic, De Sa!," Mapaito
