Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa has told His Ghanaian goalkeeper Fatau Dauda that he will find it tough to knock Senzo Meyiwa from his pedestal.

Orlando Pirates coach Roger de Sa has told His Ghanaian goalkeeper Fatau Dauda that he will find it tough to knock Senzo Meyiwa from his pedestal.

The Ghanaian international is yet to make his official debut at Bucs, and with Meyiwa on top form it seems he will have to wait a little longer to play.

De Sa says at the moment it is easy for him to pick his first choice keeper.

“Is not difficult at all. If he [Meyiwa] keeps playing the way he is, it’s a very easy decision,” de Sa says.

“He is in great form, great attitude. He is the number one. I think it will be more difficult for Dauda to try get him off.

“His number one job is to get Brighton [Mhlongo] off from number two spot, and then to get Senzo from the number one spot,” he says.

De Sa, a former shotstopper himself, adds that having strong competition between the three keepers can only be a positive.

“It’s good healthy competition and it’s important to have such good goalkeepers at your club. You need more than one and fortunately we’ve got three.”
