Former Kotoko coach Isaac Opeele Boateng wants Opoku Nti to be appointed the club’s substantive Chief Executive.
Nti was handed a three-month extension after he was named Interim Management Committee head two months following the dissolution of the erstwhile board.
The former Kotoko legend has supervised the club best league start in five seasons as Kotoko boast two consecutive wins.
Opeele, who is the youngest coach ever to handle Kotoko, says Nti, nicknamed after Brazil legend Zico, has the Midas touch to steer the club.
“I have personally come out to challenge Kotoko that if they think they are a better team than Hearts who have won the league on six consecutive times then they should also try and do the same, but something might hit Kotoko along the way if they change Opoku Nti, that is my fear,” the former Ghana U17 assistant coach told Joy sports
“For me, what Opoku Nti has done he should be handed the job permanently because immediately they change him something might happen because Kotoko like Jose Mourinho said Real Madrid is not about football is about Politics”, likewise Kotoko which is not football but politics.
“The Board has to be careful and know how to work with Opoku Nti, they have to support him and make him the permanent CEO because beating Hearts is enough for them to confirm Opoku Nti to help Kotoko grow.”
