Coach Isaac Opeele Boateng has named 15 players he thinks will automatically be named in Ghana’s final Africa Cup of Nations squad.
Coach Isaac Opeele Boateng has named 15 players he thinks will automatically be named in Ghana’s final Africa Cup of Nations squad.
The England-trained tactician, who is also a technical media analyst, says his named players will not miss Ghana’s boat for January’s tournament.
According to the man known as the Jose Mourinho of Ghana soccer, goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey cannot be ignored by Serbian coach Goran Stevanovic.
Defender John Mensah and Isaac Vorsah make Opeele’s 15 for Africa’s flagship competition and they will at the back with Jonathan Mensah, Lee Addy, Isaac Vorsah, Daniel Opare and Samuel Inkoom.
The midfielder the coach chose are Derek Boateng, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Andre Ayew, Sulley Muntari and Kwadwo Asmaoah.
The strikers who will surely confirm their places according to Opeele are Asamoah Gyan and Prince Tagoe.

Even my grandmother who is in her grave can predict this 15 players. Opeele stop the unnecessary talks and concentrate to be the coach you aspire to be. Talk is cheap……..Mourinho indeed. I did admired you before you joined Kotoko but during….you were a mess. It is not by accident King Faisal and Okwahu you could not stay. Check yourself. You can be either a better coach OR a better journalist. Wise up!
I totally disagree with this list. For me Lee Addy and Prince Tagoe should not make the team. For Lee Addy’s place I think we are better off with one of the guys on the local front.
Also for Price Tagoe i think we would not even get an assist not to talk of a goal. That guy to me is not a striker. He is not worth the Ghana shirt though we lack quality in that particular position. I think Ahmed Toure if we decide to take him or the leading goal scorer of the local league provides a better option. Prince and Lee Addy simply not good enough and not worth their positions.
yes we lack depth at center back. There are some young guys that could be given a look though. like the Boateng guy at Arsenal and others.

Easy Man… The truth is Prince tagoe has had several opportunities in the BS and little has he impresed. About him scoering more than any BS player is niether here nor there he is supposed to be a goal scorer and 2 goals in 6 matches is a big F. We cannot win trophies with a striker like that.

I think you are right. I would add Quincy also. I don’t see the coach getting rid of a player in his form. He may be our best pure right winger. On a team full of left footed players he may get in on default.

John Mensah for what???? How many games has he played so his club this season. Football today is about young, energetic, talented and technically gifted players. JM has played his part for the BS and for me, John Boye for JM. PT should be dropped for him to think pensively about his form and football career, then recalled for the WC qualifiers.

Have u guys been watching Dominic Oduro of Chicago Fire in the MLS? that guy is the one PLAVI should invite. Domonic is a typical striker and will add power to our attack. With him supporting Gyan, it will be good.i am still surprised that PLAVI has still not invited this boy, just to study him closely. He has scored 12 goals so far. Plavi i can see you are trying to help Prince Tagoe to pacify your contract “brokers” but please the guy is not helping himself. We want the best for Ghana and Dominic is one of them. Go for him.
i agree with opeele but the issue of prince tagoe is wrong. john mensah should be dropped so should inkoom. nana kwesi asare should take over the left flank and in him we can have a left back who is scoring. jordan ayew surely should replace prince tagoe.
