Opare would welcome Real Madrid return

Daniel Opare could welcome a return to Real Madrid

Ghana defender Daniel Opare says he would welcome the opportunity to return to Real Madrid two seasons after leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 21-year-old joined Standard Liege two seasons ago from Real Madrid’s youth on co-ownership agreement.

The Spanish champions still have a 50% ownership of the versatile full-back.

Opare told a local radio will not hesitate to rejoin his former club if handed the opportunity.

“It is a 50-50 ownership so when they want me to return why not, I will go back,” the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup winner said.

Opare joined Real Madrid after a superlative display for Ghana at the 2007 FIFA Under-17 World Cup finals in Korea.
