Greek giants Olympiakos have quashed reports that the club have reached an agreement with Al-Sadd to sign Ghana winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie on loan.
Reports in the Greek media suggested that the two clubs are close to agreeing a deal for the former Arsenal youngster who spent last season on loan at rivals Panathinakos.
But Olympiakos Sporting Director Darko Kovacevic says there have been no transfer talks between the two clubs.
“There has been no talks of Quincy,” he told Gazzetta Greece.
Quincy scored 6 times in 30 appearances for Panathinaikos last season .
30 appearances? He is too consistent to b ignored by the uncreative Black Stars. If the reputable GURU’s were able to stand soo low to beg someone to b patriotic, den why can’t dey just blow off the specks in the eyes of our coaches for em too see clearly the form & Statistics of Abeyie. They r too short sighted.
When is the brother coming back to the blackstars ??!!
Akwasi Appiah needs this guy, if Black Stars are to be feared by our opponents. Quincy makes our attacking very dangerous to any team. You remember Ghana V Ivory Coast 2008?
Why wont A.A invit such exprnc plys? D guy is vry sklful, vry fast n can disturb dfendrs. We need such guy back if realy we need d AFCON. I dont no wen ghnians wil stop inferiority n b proud of ourslvs. Why shud we name our clubs n cal our plys by forieng names. Sm1 calln David Addy as ‘Ghana’s Ashley Cole’. Where do England rich in d 2010 wrld cup. Is high time we do away wit such atitud.
Quincy is an amazing contributor to the game. He is just unstoppable when he attacks. Only God knows why he has been snubbed. For those who haven’t seen him play outside Ghana, check him out on youtube:Ghanaian player Quincy. His aggressive and lightening attacking speed is 2nd to none.
o abayie is very good a winger who is able to create space with his sublime skills n running. Why r we westing this b stars potential? We needed him against zambia esp when k asamoah failed on the day.
