Ofori-Quaye returns to Ghana League to revive career

Posted On Wednesday, 12th October 2011

Peter Ofori-Quaye wants to revive career on return to Ghana Premier League

Ex-international Peter Ofori-Quaye insists has returned to the Ghana Premier League to relaunch his career.

The former Olympiacos attacker agreed a one-year deal with newly-promoted Bechem United as a free agent.

There are suggestions that the former Black Stars lead striker is playing his career swansong but he has vehemently rubbished.

I’m not here to end my career. If I wanted to end my career I wouldn’t have come to Bechem, I would have found a club in Accra close to my family,” the 31-year-old told Joy FM

“I came here to restart my career.

“I have been out for long due to injuries but now I’ve recovered and I know myself and I’m very sure I will play like I used to.”

Ofori-Quaye last played for Cypriot side AEL Limassol in 2010 but has been on the sidelines due to injuries.
