Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe resigns as Hearts General Manager

Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe has officially resigned his post as General Manager of Ghanaian powerhouse Hearts of Oak.

The FIFA marketing consultant has been under investigation over allegations of wrong doing since May this year.

The capital-based side set-up a three-man committee to investigate the ex-leader of the Hearts of Oak supporters’ body over allegations of gross misconduct and abuse of office.

Even though the report of the committee is yet to be made  public, Mortagbe has tendered in his resignation to Executive Board chairman Togbe Afede XIV.

It is unclear what might have forced him to resign but it widely believed that he opted to jump the ship before he was pushed.

Mortagbe was appointed last year to restore the club’s lost glory but failed in his attempt to make the Accra-based side giants again.
