Posted On Tuesday, 19th July 2011

Mohammed Awal Issah has moved to Rosenborg

Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Awal Issah has signed a three-year contract with Norwegian giants Rosenborg BK for an undisclosed fee, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 24-year-old moves from Serbian Super Liga side Red Star Belgrade and has been primed to replace compatriot Anthony Annan.

The former Real Sportive ace was rated among five top players of Red Star by Croatian manager Robert Prosinecki at the end of the Serbian Super Liga season.

Issah stold reporters at Nikola Tesla International Airport in Belgrade: “I am leaving Red Star with a smile. I’m a fan of Red Star.”

He added that: “I want to thank all the teammates, the people at the club and especially the fans, because although I am a foreigner, I felt as a domestic player at Red Star.”

Rosenborg BK won the 2010 Norwegian Tippeligaen and will play in this season’s Uefa Champions League .
