Hearts of oak influential midfielder Obed Ansah is racing against time to be fit for the Phobians Glo Premier League second round opener against King Faisal.

The 27-year-old is recovering from a knock he picked at Hearts training two weeks ago and missed out of the Phobians 3-0 triumph over Tamale Utrecht in the MTN FA Cup on Sunday.

Ansah has rejoined the 19-time Ghanaian champions for the second round of the top flight league and has been influential in warm-up games.

Hearts coach David Duncan is hoping to have the workaholic diminutive midfielder available but will have to wait to receive a late clearance from the medical team.

"The injury situation in campaign is okay with the exception of Obed Ansah and even with him we are expecting him to be fit to face King Faisal on Sunday," club PRO Muheed Saeed told Accra-based Peace FM.

Hearts open their second round with a tie against King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
