Obed Ansah agrees deal to return to Hearts

Posted On Wednesday, 23rd November 2011

Hearts of Oak have agreed a two-year deal with free agent midfielder Obed Ansah, MTNFootball.com understands.

Ansah refused an extension after his contract with the Phobians run out at the end of last season.

A source told MTNFootball the player has been paid 14,000 Ghana cedis (US$ 9032) to beef up the squad.

Per the agreement, he will join Nebojsa Vucicevic’s side in January for the second half of the season.

The diminutive middle man was linked a move to Hearts’ rivals Asante Kotoko after being declared a free agent by the Players Status Committee.

Ansah was also reported to be on the radar of South African Premier League side Bloemfontein Celtic.

Excellent news to hear that Obed is coming back. But why did Hearts delay in reaching a deal with him before the start of the league ? It is better to part with huge sums of money on a quality player like Obed than spend the same amount on eight or ten average players who only come to warm benches and their services is done away with the following year.
Please bring back Fiamenyo to assist Otoo so that we can also come to park and support our club for we dont enjoy watching average performers.
