Ghana youth striker Kwame Nsor scored a consolation for FC Metz in their 5-2 defeat to Guingamp in the French Ligue 2 on Friday night.
The 19-year-old came off the bench to replace Malian international defender Adama Tamboura five minutes after the break and scored in the 87th minute.
He applied a simple finishing touch to tap home a Sadio Mane rebound effort to register his second goal for Metz’s senior side.
Though Metz have dropped into the relegation zone after the defeat, Nsor is confident of their survival.
“There are still three games to go and we have a big chance to survive. The defeat is painful but I’m happy I scored,” Nsor told MTNFootball.com.
Nsor played for Ghana at the 2011 African Youth Championship in South Africa.
