Norwegian champions Stromsgodset have left Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Abu out of their squad for their Eliteserien game against Stabæk due to suspension.

Abu is serving a ban after picking three yellow cards and Stromsgodset manager David Nielson has been forced to exclude the 22-year-old from his 18-man squad for the home test at Marienlyst Stadion.

However, Abu's other Ghanaian compatriots Nana Boateng and Adam Kwarasey are in the squad for the game.

Mounir Hamoud, Bassel Jradi, Storflor, Peter Kovacs, Adam Larsen Kwarasey, Anders Gundersen, Iver Fossum, Flamur Kastrati, Martin Ødegaard, Gustav Mendonca Wikheim, Nana, Thomas Sørum, Lars Chr. Vilsvik, Jarl André Storbæk, Marius HøibrÃ¥ten, Stefan Askovski, Gustav Valsvik, Marvin Ogunjimi.

The former Manchester City player is going to miss his first game of the season after starting all of Stromsgodset's 20 league games of the season.

However, in his absence, the Drammen-based side can rely on youngster Nana Boateng who has been more influential in the squad for the Eliteserien title-holders.
