Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will not replace injured Christian Atsu in his squad to play Sudan in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier this Sunday.

Atsu sustained an injury ankle injury while playing for his Portuguese side FC Porto in a league match at the weekend.

Appiah wants to work with the 23-players remaining for the must-win encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.

With the return of AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari, the Black Stars have enough ammunition to destroy the Desert Hawks.

He will hold his first training at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday afternoon before the team leave for Kumasi the following day.

The soft-speaking coach will have 20 players available for his first exercise.

Three players-Harrison Afful, Mubarak Wakaso and goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey are expected in camp on Tuesday night.
