Ghana midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei is urging his TP Mazembe teammates to recover quickly from their painful exit from the CAF Champions League to ES Setif.

The Congolese giants crashed out of the competition on the away goal’s rule having beaten Setif 3-2 in Lubumbashi.

TP Mazembe looked set to clinch a spot in this year’s Champions League final after going down 2-1 in the first leg of the semi final tie against the Algerian club.

But their early dominance, which saw Nii Adjei score an equalizer to help the side race into a 3-1 lead were all eventually undone.

A late concession saw the visitors secure progress to dash the hopes of TP Mazembe and their Ghanaian quintet.

But Nii Adjei is urging his teammates to put aside their disappointment to focus on a strong start to their domestic league title defence.

“We must get over this disappointment quickly because there is nothing we can do now to change the result,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“We have to now focus on the league.”
