Ghana midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei has denied hinting at a return to home following his first team frustrations at TP Mazembe.

The 25-year-old has had limited first team opportunities since Patrice Cateron took over earlier this year.

The ex Ghana Premier League MVP is quoted as hinting he could return to the Ghanaian top flight if his situation with the Congolese giants fail to improve.

But the Ghana international has denied ever making such comments while insisting he is happy at TP Mazembe despite his lack of games.

“It is not true I have granted an interview where I revealed I was frustrated at TP Mazembe,” he told Metro FM.

“In a team, you don’t always play and that is normal.

“But I have not said anywhere that I am not happy here. This is a peaceful place and I like it here.”

Nii Adjei joined TP Mazembe last year after spending six years with Asante Kotoko in a deal reportedly worth $200,000.
