Daniel Nii Adjei failed to make the TP Mazembe Caf Champions League squad
Former Ghana Premier League player of the season Daniel Nii Adjei has been left out of TP Mazembe’s squad for their Caf Champions League campaign.
The 23-year-old joined the Lubumbashi-based side in a protracted transfer deal from Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko last November.
But Mazembe coach Lamine Ndiaye has decided to exclude Nii Adjei who is capped once by Ghana from his 26-man squad for the continent’s club flagship competition.
Berekum Chelsea pair of Richard Kissi Boateng and Solomon Asante who are in Ghana’s 2013 AFCOn squad have been included in the list.
2009 Ghana U20 midfielder Gladson Awako as well as former Asante Kotoko defender Yaw Frimpong are also named.
Goalkeepers (3) : Robert KIDIABA, Aimé BAKULA, Ley MATAMPI
Defenders (8) : Eric NKULUKUTA, Jean KASUSULA, Joël KIMWAKI, Hervé NDONGA, HICHANI HIMONDE, Yaw FRIMPONG, Richard KISSI BOATENG, Boubacar DIARRA.

Forwards (8) : Patou KABANGU, Jonas SAKUWAHA, Aly SAMATTA, Solomon ASANTE, Eric BOKANGA, Thomas ULIMWENGU, Cheibane TRAORE, Alou BAGAYOKO.

can gsn give us a break abt nii adjei’s age?. Sometimes u journalists write he’s 25.nw u say he’s 23.a player with more than 5 yrs premiership xperience.hm, u can never cheat nature.we live 2 see.
After telling us you’re going to Stoke after the AFCON Solomon Asante along with his Chelsea team mates decide to join Mazembe. I wonder what is there in Congo that is making them so desperate. Or perhaps it is a case of anywhere is better than Ghana?
