Nigeria have written to the Ghana FA seeking a friendly against the Local Black Stars next month but the Ghanaian authorities are yet to respond even though players of the team are currently inactive because of the legal case slapped on the league.

The match will put the home-based players of the national team in action as the GFA fights King Faisal in court over their demotion ton the second tiers.

However the Ghana FA is yet to respond to the request from Nigeria as this would have been the perfect opportunity to keep the players of the Local Black Stars active while they fight out the court case.

General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation Musa Amadu has confirmed they are yet to get any responses for their request of friendly matches for the home based Super Eagles for the opening of the ultra-modern Uyo International Stadium.

Amadu also confirmed that they have written to the football federations of Tunisia, Ghana and Algeria for them to play Nigeria’s home based Super Eagles team, but are yet to get any responses for the proposed November 6 fixture.

“We have written to Ghana, Algeria, and Tunisia to play our home based team during the opening of the Uyo International Stadium but we are yet to get any responses from them,” Musa told Hot FM.

“Hopefully they will respond and agree to the terms so that we can have any of them for the friendly match,” he said.

The newly built 30,000 capacity Uyo International Stadium will host the Super Eagles’ 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on November 19, and is regarded as one of the best stadia in Africa.

The edifice was built to bear similarities with Bayern Munich’s Alianz Arena, the Bird Nest Stadium in Beijing China, and the FNB Stadium  in Johannesburg, South Africa.
