Hans Van der Pluijm has taken his first official decision as Medeama coach by granting the players an 11-day break.

The players are expected to reconvene at the team's base in Tarkwa on August 7 after completing their final club assignment on Friday.

The Mauves will visit the head office of MTN to present their FA Cup trophy in an extensive trophy tour.

The players will then go home for a brief pre-season rest following a hectic season that almost ended in a double glory for Medeama.

The Tarkwa-based club led the charge for the Premier League title for most parts of the season but ended up losing it to Asante Kotoko at the depth.

The team however atoned for this disappointment by beating Kotoko in the finals of the FA Cup to win their first ever silverware.

Success in the FA Cup also secures a maiden African spot for Medeama as representatives for Ghana in the next edition of the CAF Confederations Cup.
