The Porcupine Warriors recorded the cricket score line in their first game of their pre-season camping in Tamale.
The match that was played at the impressive Utrecht Academy facility saw an impressive turnout for the low-keyed friendly.
It was Kotoko’s new Burkinabe striker who only joined the side this week that stole the show.
The rout started with defender Kofi Agyare scoring from the spot very early in the game.
Michael Mensah doubled Kotoko’s lead moments later with barely 10 minutes into the game before the impressive new signing of Kotoko Abdul Lawal took over.
The Burkinabe scored his first, second, third and fourth goal in succession to hand Kotoko a commanding 6-0 lead before being taken off at halftime.
Coach Mas-Ud Dramani featured an entirely different set for the second half to see the game’s tempo drop considerably.
But substitute Abdul Yusif extended Kotoko’s lead before Ransford Osei also got in on the act.
Alhassan Bukari made it 9-0 before Mohammed Fuseini pulled one back for Soccer Ambassadors with 10 minutes left.
They scored another consolation minutes later through Seidu Appiah but the Ghana Premier League champions held on afterwards to record the impressive win.
