Ghana international defender Daniel Opare is on the road to full recovery from a hamstring injury as he has began light training at Besiktas, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm. 

The former Real Madrid starlet, 24, had been out for a couple of days with a ‘minor’ hamstring injury and was be ruled out for Besiktas' Super Lig clash with giants Fenerbache last weekend.

He returned to training with the rest of the Besiktas team-mates who are not on international duty with their national teams.

Besiktas manager Abdullah Avci will he greatly delighted with his return as he has been influential for the club since arriving from Portuguese side FC Porto.

Opare is currently training under the supervision of medical specialist who is tasked to ensure his return to action is smooth.
