Olympique Marseille’s midfielder Mario Lemina turned down his call-up from Gabon for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 21-year old Gabonese-born French player, who claimed the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup with France in Turkey, insists he is still to make up his mind between ‘Les Bleus’ and the Panthers at senior level.

“I`m not going to the AFCON,” Lemina posted on his Twitter page.

“Everything that`s being said at the moment is only rumours, I`m sorry but there`s been no agreement between Gabon and me,” he added, following his inclusion on Gabon’s 23-player list for the continental competition on Sunday.

National coach Jorge Costa has put his faith in the squad that secured a first-place finish in their Group C of the AFCON qualifiers.

The Panthers will kick off their campaign against Burkina Faso in Bata on January 17, before facing Congo on January 21 and host country Equatorial Guinea on the same ground four days later.
