Congo-Brazzaville coach Claude Le Roy has cut his provisional 2015 Africa Cup team from 38 to 26.
The veteran Frenchman has trimmed his squad as the 1972 champions prepare to head for their pre-tournament training camp in Senegal.
Le Roy has decided not to consider Olympique Marseille’s second-choice keeper Brice Samba who is yet to make up his mind whether to play for France or Congo.
The Frenchman has also surprisingly snubbed Bastia midfielder Christopher Maboulou who was not even on the initial 38 member list.
Meanwhile, Congo head to Dakar on January 2.
Congo are in Group A at the Africa Cup where they will play 2013 runners-up Burkina Faso, Gabon and hosts Equatorial Guinea whom they face in the tournament's opening game on January 17 in Bata.
