Kevin Prince Boateng has been having lots of sex which his girlfriend claims is the cause of his injuries

Italian club Napoli have banned their players from having sex two days before matches to prevent them from having injuries like AC Milan’s sex-hungry star Kevin Prince Boateng.

The Napoli approach is lent support by a Serie A story from earlier in the year when Milan’s Kevin-Prince Boateng was out injured.

The player’s girlfriend claimed that the excessive amounts of sex that the player had been having resulted in his muscle injuries.

Napoli, thanks to one of their medical staff, have revealed their policy of prohibiting players from engaging in sexual intercourse in the couple of days before each game, with Doctor De Nicola spilling the beans to Italian newspaper Corriere del Mezzogiorno.

“Avoiding sexual activity for two days before a game is fundamental to prevent muscular strains, contractions or inflammations, for us this is a rule,”

“There is also a specific work done by my staff and the fitness coaches which is aimed more at prevention than cure.”

This theory looks to be paying off for Napoli, who were on the receiving end of just fifty injuries that prevented their players from playing in official games last season.

This is an impressive statistic when compared with other leading Italian clubs like Milan (260), Internazionale (188) and Roma (184).
