Ghanaian striker Nana Poku continues to highlight his impressive scoring form in the Egyptian Premier League by scoring the solitary goal of the game for El Shorta as they pipped El Gounah 1-0 on Monday night.

The former Ghana Premier League Golden Shoe Award winner, 22 years old, born September 1, 1992 has now increased his season tally to nine (9) goals in sixteen (16).

Shorta wanted the maximum points from the game and it took the brilliance of the former Berekum Arsenal striker to delivery the points.

He netted the only goal of the game in the 78th minute.

After series of unsuccessful attempts to breakdown the defense of the host, Poku brilliantly struck twelve minutes from time.

He artfully controlled a pass inside the Gounna box and sent a curling effort past the hosts keeper.

With former Hearts of Oak striker John Antwi leaving the fray in the Egyptian top-flight, Poku is expected to be the next shining Ghanaian in the league.

He is four goals away from reaching Antwi's 13 goals before leaving for Saudi Arabia.
