Ghana defender Nana Kwesi Asare says he will not be disappointed if he fails to make the final cut for the 2013 African Cup of Nations.

The FC Utrecht captain is in Kwesi Appiah’s squad to face Cape Verde in Wednesday's  international friendly in Lisbon, Portugal.

The Holland-based defender has returned to the team after a long-absence and says he won’t be utterly let down if he fails to make the final squad.

“I live day by day and try to do my best. If it is the will of God that I will be in there, that will be fine,” Asare said

“But if I am not, I won’t be too disappointed because there are lot of talented players fighting for a position.

“When you get the chance you just to have to use it. If it not your time, it’s not. I be glad if I'm in but I won’t be too disappointed if I'm not in.

“It’s all up to the nation to win the cup and so we’ll go out there to fight.”
