"Nana Addo" Adopts A ?Room-To-Room? Campaign

Posted On Friday, 11th May 2012

NANA ADDO for President (NAFOP), a splinter group in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has adopted a ?room-to-room? campaign to help the party?s flag bearer, Nana Akufo Addo win more votes in the December polls.

Addressing NAFOP Offinso branch members, Oheneba Edmund Kwarteng, the group?s national coordinator said the party needed to get to grass root members of society in order to win more votes.

He said the leadership of NAFOP has decided that henceforth they should move from house to house in their various localities, spreading the news about Nana Addo?s superior plans to transform Ghana within a short span to the people.

Oheneba Kwarteng said the NPP flag bearer was the best person to become Ghana?s next president noting all the party needed to win the polls hands down was to reach out to the grass roots.

He said now that the biometric registration exercise had ended across the country, the group should immediately start rigorous campaigning for Nana Addo.

?Campaigning early would help the party to better explain Nana Addo?s programmes and policies for the citizenry,? he said stressing ?if the people clearly understand Nana Addo?s vision for a Ghana better, nothing will stop them from voting for him.?

Mr. Kwarteng said the main aim of forming NAFOP was to campaign vigorously to help Nana Addo become president in 2013 and praised the group for its vigilance and hard work during the registration period.

The leading NPP member who usually defends the party on radio programs in Kumasi urged party members to shun the politics of insults and rather clearly explain the party?s programmes and policies to the public.

He further asked members of the group to work harder to campaign for the NPP whether the party provides logistics or not, saying this year?s campaign was a sacrificial affair.

According to him, the NDC government?s bad leadership had halted the country?s development ?so every patriotic Ghanaian should contribute to help the NPP unseat the NDC administration.?

He entreated NAFOP members who are taxi drivers and market women to campaign for Nana Addo among the people they come into contact with daily.
