Dutch side NAC Breda have confirmed they will not re-sign striker Matthew Amoah
Dutch side NAC Breda have ruled out an option of re-signing Ghana striker Matthew Amoah.
Reports in the Dutch media claimed the 32-year-old who enjoyed an unsuccessful spell with Heerenveen is on his way back to the Rat Verlegh Stadion where he earned a cult status after bagging 42 goals in 101 appearances in four seasons.
But NAC Technical Director Jeffrey van has squashed the reports and stated the former Borussia Dortmund forward does not feature in their transfer plans for the season.
“We are currently assessing various options. A transfer of Amoah to NAC there is no part of it ” he told soccernews.nl.
Amoah has left Heerenveen after failing to make an impact at the club.
