Muntari to return for Ghana in Sudan WC qualifier

Sulley Muntari in action for Ghana against Lesotho last June

In-form midfielder Sulley Muntari will rejoin the Black Stars for next month’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan at home.

The AC Milan player has been in top form recently and should bolster the team for their important assignment.

The 28-year-old was overlooked in Ghana’s squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

But his impressive display and goal against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.

Muntari maintained his performance in last Sunday’s Milan derby against Inter, his former side, which ended 1-1 at the San Siro.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah, who is seeking for an improve display after a disappointing spell at the Nations, is expected to invited the experienced player.

Muntari has shone after recovering from a serious knee injury sustained during the off season that sidelined him for five months.

THIS GUY IS JUST RETURNING FROM IJURY. HE DIDNT EVEN HAVE A GOOD GAME AGAINST BARCA, EXCEPT FOR THE GOAL. HE WILL COME N PLAY BELOW HIS POTENTIAL BCOS HE WOULDNT WANT TO INJURE HIMSELF. Hmmmm local based? Who lack sophistication eg(Solomon Asante)who did nothing but got funny remarks from the commentary like Ghana was in S.A to joke…let Sulley retire in peace…..Abi we have the Abeyei’s and Dede(not Jordan) who can work together with pace and sophistication…they will make Gyan and Atsu goal kings and Ghana soccer go beeeeeeee k3k3…how long shall be beg for Abeyei and we keep on crying with the same old way while the solution is there!!

  Only a foreign coach or a local one with INTEGRITY will call Abeyie. KASA and Muntari are still playing for the national team just because they want to lay and show respect no matter what but if it was for A.A and co. they will have retired as well.
