Muntari to play in Sammy Kuffour testimonial on Friday

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has confirmed he will play in the testimonial match of legend Sammy Kuffuor on Friday.

The Inter-Milan enforcer will arrive in the country on Wednesday night to re-unite with his long-time pal as the ex-Bayern Munich superstar officially brings a glittering career to an end.

Muntari played with Kuffour at the 2006 Fifa World Cup finals in Germany.

He said: ''I know how important it is for Sammy and it's more important than anything for me to be there for him.''

"He has been one of my favourite ex-colleagues and I hope to be in Kumasi to support him and wish him well.

"Hopefully it will be an enjoyable game for the fans and also be a  send-off for a player who has achieved so much in his career for both club and country.

Renowned footballers like Lothar Mathaus, Andy Cole, Rigobert Song, Raymond Kalla, Daniel Amokachi, Jay-Jay Okocha.

Also Lucas Radebe, Mark Fish amongst others will be on parade at the Baba Yara Stadium which will also attract ex-Ghana Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kuffuor.
