Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari is delighted with his return to action after recovering from a thigh injury that kept him out of action for three weeks.

The 27-year-old featured for 13 minutes for Inter-Milan as they posted a 2-0 win over Fiorentina in the Serie A over the weekend.

Muntari did not disappoint after replacing Philippe Coutinho and could have been on the score sheet after his connection missed the post by inches.

His return will also be a massive boost for Black Stars trainer Goran Stevanovic who is keen on having most of his experienced guns available for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

"It's always a delight to be back from an injury and I'm happy I have recovered fully and  able to get involved in our game," Muntari said

"It should be good news for me, my club and my country because we need to be fit for the task ahead which is huge.

"I am looking forward to getting more playing time at Inter and surely when the time comes to go for national duty, then we take it from there.

"I am grateful to God for what he continues to do for me and I believe that we’ll strike the cord at the right time."
