AC Milan's Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari has revealed coach Pippo Inzaghi is always demanding more from his players and this will count when they clash with arch rival Inter Milan on Sunday.

Muntari, the Ghana international is fired up for the Milan Derby on Sunday and reveals PippoInzaghi â€œis constantly on our backs.”

The Rossoneri go head-to-head with rivals Inter this weekend at 19.45 GMT.

“We are improving and must continue along this path,” midfielder Muntari told Milan Channel.

“The derby means so much for us, for the table, but also for our self-confidence. We must give our all for our fans. It is going to be a very important match and we’ll do everything to win.

“This is a unique event and therefore means a huge amount in the city. We’ve certainly been very focused and concentrated on the game. We’ve got to run and fight to the end, not think of what could go wrong.”

Preparations have been forced to change over the last few days, as Inter sacked Coach Walter Mazzarri to bring in Roberto Mancini.

“Mancini is a great Coach who has done well everywhere. He will have an influence, but he won’t be the one playing on the pitch. It all depends on the players,” continued Muntari.

“Inzaghi is not acting any different to usual, as he’s always tense and every week from Monday to Sunday he’s constantly on our backs.

“He is our guide and we have to follow him if we want to do well.”

Nigel de Jong will miss the derby after picking up an injury on international duty with Holland.

“Nigel will be missed, but we have the players who can make up for his absence. We are all ready to help each other out.

“I haven’t scored a goal in the derby, but the important thing is that the team does well, so even if I don’t net and we win, I’ll still be happy.

“Fernando Torres deserves a goal, as he’s a great striker.”
