Sulley Muntari is the fifth African player to score against Barcelona in Champions League knockout stage, after George Weah, Jean Makoun, Michael Essien, Didier Drogba and Kevin Boateng.

Barcelona are losing to a Milan team full of African players: Sulley Muntari, Prince-Boateng, Kevin Constant and Bakary Traore.

Also, El Sharaawy, M'Baye Babacar Niang are of African descent.

AC Milan took a surprise 2-0 first-leg lead in their Champions League last-16 tie against Barcelona - with both goals scored by former Portsmouth players.

Kevin-Prince Boateng, who helped Pompey reach the FA Cup Final in the 2009-2010 season, struck a controversial opening goal which set the Italians on their way at the San Siro.

And a superb second by Boateng's fellow Fratton Park old boy Sulley Muntari put Massimiliano Allegri's side firmly in the driving seat ahead of March 12's return leg at the Nou Camp.

Muntari, a Portsmouth player in the 2007-08 campaign, flashed an early shot over the bar from long range for Milan.
