Sulleyà Muntarià has hailed the impact of compatriot Michael Essien and Spanish Fernando Fernando for AC Milan.Ã
The Rossoneri won 3-1 in Verona last Sunday and showed improvement in their game after the international break, to the encouragement of their midfielder.
ââ¬ÅIt could be a turning point in our season. We really worked hard during the break,â⬠Muntari told Milan Channel
ââ¬ÅWe are happy for both the performance and the result. Stadio Bentegodi is a tough place to go and it was important to win.ââ¬
According to the former Portsmouth man, two other Premier League imports are doing well in Serie A at the moment.
ââ¬ÅFernando Torres is a really important player for us. He moves well on the pitch, so we are happy that he plays for us.
ââ¬ÅAlso Michael Essien responded well and he embodies our groupââ¬â¢s strength because all those who took the pitch in the second half did well.
ââ¬ÅWe must stay grounded and keep doing well.ââ¬
But thereââ¬â¢s also another teammate who holds a special place in Muntariââ¬â¢s heart.
Goalkeeper Christian Abbiati is 37 and despite some blunders, has still played a part in Milanââ¬â¢s start to the season.
ââ¬Åââ¬ËThe Uncleââ¬â¢ is a symbol to me and he helps me both on and off the pitch. He doesnââ¬â¢t talk much, but heââ¬â¢s got a great attitude.
ââ¬ÅThere arenââ¬â¢t many men like him. When I speak to him, he really gives me great energy.
ââ¬ÅAnd the same applies to Coach Pippo Inzaghi who is helping us a lot and weââ¬â¢re doing really well also thanks to him.ââ¬
On Sunday Milan face an inconsistent Fiorentina side, but one Muntari wants his teammates to stay aware of.
ââ¬ÅWe want to win every game. The season is still long. Against Fiorentina it will be a difficult game, but we want to win.ââ¬
