Muntari expected to make injury return in November

Sulley Muntari on his way back to full recovery

By Ameenu Shardow

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari could return to full action by the end of next month according to newspaper reports in Italy.

This will be a massive boost boost for the Black Stars ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa in January if they qualify.

The 28-year-old underwent surgery in June to repair damaged knee ligaments sustained in a kick-about while on holidays in Ghana.

The ex Inter Milan player will soon be reviewed by doctors where he is expected to get the go ahead to notch up light training.

Muntari was initially feared to be sidelined for the whole year but he has made a tremendous recovery to bring forward his return date.

The Ghana international’s career has been resurrected since joining the Rossoneri from cross town rivals Inter in the last winter transfer window.

Muntari’s absence has been sorely missed by Milan as they lie 11th in the Serie-A haven won only twice out of the seven games played.

My fellow Ghanaians, listen to me:

Please, let Zambians bask in their awarded 3 points and 3 goals, and let Sudan suffer because they knew the rules…the player himself even warned the FA before the game but they did not listen. Let me congratulate Zambia for having jumped ahead of the group MOMENTARILY. Here is what will happen:

    1. Zambia must go to heaven and hell to beat Sudan in Ndola, because Sudan will give them hell, and can even cause an upset by beating Zambia in Ndola.

    2. Zambia must also make sure they beat Lesotho in Maseru. But recall, Zambia’s away record is so porous that Lesotho can cause havoc to them in Maseru.

    3. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. So Zambia must sit well, because Sudan will play it soft for Ghana in Khartoum. For sure they will, but even if they don’t, Ghana has beaten them twice in their own backyard so we can do it again. But trust me, how Sudan will play against Zambia isn’t going to be the same way they will play against Ghana.

    4. Ghana will beat Lesotho again in Maseru. And we lead Zambia on goal difference, so Zambia…who can’t even score more than one goal in their own backyard….must play Lesotho (home and away) and score about 7 goals, and beat Sudan by about 5 goals…then come to Ghana and beat us by 4 goals to qualify. And is that feasible? It is easier for a whale to go through a camel’s eye than for Zambia to do that!

    5. So assuming…and I mean assuming Zambia wins the rest of their next 3 world cup matches, and Ghana does the same…and even let’s say Zambia has an advantage of goals…say a +11 goal difference….they still have to beat us in Accra/Kumasi….and that is impossible even if they play with 11 strikers of defend with 24 men!

    6. Due to the fact that head to head comes into play 1st, before goals scored or against, we are going to make sure that Zambia will not leave ACCRA/KUMASI without a basket of at least 4 goals (2 in each half) cos we are bringing every arsenal we have…from Essien through John Mensah…Abeyie, KPB….everyone is coming on board! Zambia can do anything they want…but trust me, they have no idea…cos we shall do EVERYTHING possible…..and I mean by all means necessary….to wallop them here!

    7. Finally, we lead on goals…and we shall not relinquish that goal difference. Zambia will fall in Ghana…they can check their own away record….because the odds are against them if they don’t know.

Zambians….you have a tall order because Uganda is going to eliminate you this weekend from the AFCON…and your hopes for getting to the world cup will also be extinguished by Ghana soon…but it will start with Sudan giving you hell and Lesotho shocking you guys..before we put the nail on the coffin! Out of the 4 remaining matches left, trust me, Zambia…you will win ONLY 1….and that would be against Lesotho in Ndola by just 1 goal again!

In the end, your physical trainer…who is not a coach, will “resign”/be fired….and the whole nation will mourn for Zambia! Why? There shall be no AFCON…and no WORLD CUP!

Mark this on the wall! Always remember….”the enemy of my enemy is my friend”!

Thank you FIFA, and enjoy briefly Zambia! And make merry now Zambia…cos soon, laughter will be all tears (starting this weekend when you don’t even qualify to defend your AFCON crown)…..and we …Ghanaians…shall flood every Zambian website or soccer page to post comments and “mourn” with you…so get ready!
