A taxi driver in Frankfurt has spoken about his pleasant surprise received at the weekend for driving Ghanaian trio Michael Essien, Mario Balotelli and Sulley Muntari and Keisuke Honda.

The AC Milan quartet chartered the taxi to get to a private airfield where they would board a plane to fly out to Italy.

They paid him 100 dollars (75 euros) instead of the usually cost of about 25 euros.

Tulal Daim, who is also an electrical engineering student, told German newspaper BILD of his excitement.

He said: "The really had no idea where they were going and have little time. But they took it with a lot of humor with humor."

"When I told them of Eintracht Frankfurt, laughter broke out. Balotelli said that he knew only Bayern and BVB in Germany."

Daim also added that: "The rest I was allowed to keep. Such customers can often ride with me."
