Mumuni Abubakar eyes Sundowns revival under coach Pitso Mosimane

Ghanaian midfielder Mumuni Abubakar is confident the appointment of Pitso Mosimane will revive his career at Sundowns.

The Ghana Under-20 midfielder joined the South African side at the start of the season after impressing heavily for New Edubiase.

But the Liverpool trialist struggled to command a regular playing spot under dismissed Dutch coach Johan Neeskens.

But Abubakar is hopeful his fortunes will change under the former South African national team coach.

“I am hoping the appointment of this coach will help me get regular playing time,” Abubakar said

“He is a black man and so will know how to use some of us in his team.

A lot of things happened and I’m confident I will start playing.”

Sundowns find themselves in the relegation trap net in the Absa Premier League.
