Mubarak Wakaso completes shock move to Espanyol

Mubarak Wakaso has signed for Spanish side Espanyol

Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has joined Spanish La Liga side Espanyol from Villarreal for the next four seasons, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal. 

The player passed a medical examination on Wednesday morning at the Creu Blanca Clinic in Barcelona.

Wakaso will be presented to the club’s fans at a ceremony on Thursday.

He played last season at relegated Villarreal.

Wakaso moved to Spain at age 18 and joined Elche but after three years his contract was terminated due to disciplinary issues.

He quickly moved to Villarreal where he made six appearances last season.

Wakaso is a a left-sided midfielder known for his versatility and physical power.
