Ghana youth midfielder Mubarak Wakaso wants to remain with relegated Spanish La side Villarreal.
Wakaso enjoyed limited playing time with the Yellow Submarines last season where he only six appearances.
His contract with Villarreal-a club he joined in January 2011-runs out in 2014.
The 21-year-old is determined to help the club secure quick promotion to the Spanish top flight next season.
“If you ask me, I will want to stay in Villarreal and help them to get back into the Primera Division. I still have two more years on my contract,” Wakaso said.
“I just want to try the new season and see. If it doesn’t work out, I will move out.”
Last week, next season’s UEFA Champions League campaigners Romanian side FC Vaslui expressed interest in signing him on.
Wakaso claims he has received offers from England, Spain and Denmark.
