Mohammed Awal Issah to replace Annan at Rosenborg

Ghanaian Mohammed Awal Issah is on his way to sign for Norwegian champions Rosenborg, according the Serbian newspaper Evening News.

The 25-year-old is said to have cancelled Red Star’s pre-season tour of Austria and travelled to Trondheim to meet Rosenborg officials.

Issah is expected to replace compatriot Anthony Annan, who left the club in the winter to join German side Schalke.

He joined Red Star in January 2009 from South Africa Premier Soccer League side.

According Transfermarkt, Issah’s contract with the Red Star runs until 1 January 2013.

His market value is estimated at 1. 5 million pounds.
