AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri says Ghana prospect Kingsley Boateng has a great desire to succeed with the Rossoneris.

Kingsley, 19, came off the substitute bench to claim victory for the European powerhouse in their 1-0 Audi Cup third-place play-off win over Brazilian side Sao Paolo at the Allianz Arena in Munich on Thursday.

The attacker replaced Stephan El Shaarawy just before the resumption of play after recess and scored eight minutes into the second half after latching on to a Urby Emmanuelson long searching cross.

Italian football pundits tipped the youngster to shine last season after an impressive pre-season campaign in Sweden but a nagging knee injury ruled him out of Milan's Primavera side for most part of the season and robbed him off any chance of making any appearance for the first team.

The 2013/14 pre-season has brought repeated success for the youngster as he became only third Milan striker to get on the score-sheet after Andrea Petagna and El Shaarawy.

Milan boss Allegri is obviously impressed with the starlet's commitment to work and has praised him for his output and general conduct.

"He's a good guy, a very polite guy, who has great desire," said coach Massimiliano Allegri.

He is likely to be included in the Milan squad for the season.

Kingsley has represented Italy at youth level but the Ghana Football Association has already held talks with him and he is likely to commitment his international future to the West Africans.
