Midfielder Lamine Nasir believes Edubiase have learnt valuable lessons from their African campaign
New Edubiase United midfielder Nasir Lamine admits he is disappointed with his side’s elimination from the CAF Confederations Cup but insists valuable lessons have been learnt.
The Bekwai-based side got kicked out of the continental second-tier league after falling to Congolese side Diables Noirs on penalty kick-outs after a 1-1 aggregate.
Edubiase managed a slim 1-0 win in Accra and lost by same margin in the return-leg in Brazzaville before the fate of the tie was decided 5-4 on penalties.
Nasir who joined Edubiase at the start of the season as a free agent believes his side have learnt precious lessons from the competition.
“Its very disppointing that we have got out of the competition but it is understandable because we have a lot of first-timers in the squad but also it is really a good experience for everyone,” the former Ghana youth midfielder told Ghanasoccernet.com.
“We have learnt very valuable lessons on our debut in Africa and next time we will be more prepared and ready.”
