Ghanaian midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi says he is disappointed not to have earned a senior national team call up despite playing regularly in the Danish league.
The 21-year-old moved to FC Nordsjælland in 2010 haven endured a disappointing two years with French Club OGC Nice after bursting onto the scene in 2007 at the U-17 World Cup in South Korea.
And despite enjoying regular play time with his Danish club, Adu Kofi says the fact he is yet to receive a call up to the Black Stars leaves a sour feeling.
“It has been my prayer to earn a call up to the national team but it has not yet happen,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.
“Perhaps officials and coaches of the national team have not been following my exploits here and so I’d urge them to do so because everyone would love to play for his nation.”
The ex Liberty Professionals player however says he’ll continue to work and hard to grab the needed attention necessary for a Black Stars call up.
“Somehow it has not happened but I would keep working hard and continue to do my part so hopefully I get an invite very soon.”
too many midfilders so it’s hard to place a spot in the national team… but keep working hard bro and keep praying.
too many midfielder so what? essien and dereck boateng are aging so we need replacement like adu kofi and rabui mohammed. so kweku come again
How can you be inviting KPB and he keeps snubbing you when people are praying only for a call-up. None of Zambias team Ac Milan but they still won the cup. It is a disgrace
Pls GSN journalist Ameenu Shardow, learn to write properly. Too much repetition in this article. Stop repeating yourself when u are writing any article on this site. We the readers don’t like to be patronised. Thank u.
The monitoring mechanism of the black stars is very poor.they only go & monitor bench warmers instead of checking 4 those playing regularly.that why we lack wingers in the BS.
Hope & pray your time will come, just keep up with the hardwork…
