Ghana midfielder Michael Essien is still insisting on publicly referring to Jose Mourinho as his father.
The Chelsea midfielder, on-loan at Mourinhoââ¬â¢s Real Madrid, spoke out to explain why he sees the Special One as a father figure last September and he is still doing it.
Ahead of tonightââ¬â¢s Champions League match against Manchester United, Essien told AS.com: ââ¬ÅMy father has given me the opportunity to be here and Iââ¬â¢m enjoying every minute of being here. Iââ¬â¢ll work hard for the team to win.
ââ¬ÅMourinho is smiling. Heââ¬â¢s always content and always happy. Heââ¬â¢s always working hard and helping us a lot with everything that he says. Iââ¬â¢ve never seen him sad.ââ¬
