Michael Essien: Ghana star trains separately from Milan squad ahead of Udinese clash

Ghana star midfielder Michael Essien did not train with the entire AC Milan as they prepare of their tie with Udinese in the Serie A on Saturday. 

Instead the 32-year-old joined duo Riccardo Montolivo and Stephan El Shaarawy in the gym as they worked to improve their fitness.

Essien has not played for Milan in the entire month of April due to a complicated situation of injury and loss of form and lack of match fitness.

But the former Chelsea and Real Madrid star is working his way back to fitness from the gym as he seeks to rejoin Filippo Inzaghi's squad for Seria A games.
