Rabiu Mohammed has hit the road running already in Ligue 1

Jonathan Mensah and Rabiu Mohammed both saw full time action in Evian’s 1-1 draw of their Ligue 1 opener against Sochaux.

Both Ghanaians played key roles in the match played on Friday night.

While reports are rife Rabiu who was perhaps Ghana’s most improved player last season is on his way out of the French club, Mensah looks set to be handed more first team opportunities this term.

A combination of injuries and poor form robbed the central defender of a regular place in Pascal Dupraz’s team last season.

Mensah’s full time appearance on the opening day of the French Ligue 1 season however gives a massive indication on the key role he is to play this term for the Roses.

Evian had taken a 4th minute lead through Frabrice Ehret to give the home crowd something to cheer about.

Their hard works in the first half were however undone by a 54th minute equalizer from Roy Contount.

The game failed to produce anymore goals as both sides finished the game with a goal and a point apiece.
