New Club Africain signing Derrick Mensah insists he is fine despite suffering a suspected heart attack on Thursday.
The Ghana U20 midfielder lost consciousness and was rushed to a clinic where he underwent tests.
The former Tema Youth player was initially feared to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
But Mensah insists he is fine after several tests failed to conclude the real reasons why he fainted.
“I had complained to the coach in the morning I wasn’t feeling well by the time I know I was on the floor,” he told Metro FM.
“When I regained consciousness I was in an ambulance.
“Several tests have been run on me but nothing serious have been found.
“I have done some cardio tests for like three times and scans but everything appears fine. As at now we don’t know what the problem is.”
Mensah alongside his former Tema Youth teammate Francis Narh only joined the Tunisian giants last month in a deal shrouded in controversy.
The two players had initially sworn not to play for Club Africain – claiming they did not understand the terms of their contract with the Tunisian club.
